Archbold Police Log July 29 2:20 am: Noise, East Gardens, advised to keep it down. 6:24 pm: Vandalism, 306 S. Lincoln St. July 30 12:29 am: Vehicle vandalism, 200 block Burke St. 12:48 am: Gunshot, 312 S. Lincoln St. 8:40 pm: Vandalism to grill pits, Ruihley Park. July 31 10:10 am: Adam M. Colon, 28, rural Archbold, was traveling east, in his car, on Lutz Road, and crossing N. Defi- ance St. intersection. A car, driven by Esther A. Rice, 87, Wauseon, was traveling west on Lutz Rd, and attempted a left turn south on N. Defiance St. The vehicles collided. Rice was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way while turning left. 4:50 pm: Vehicle vandalism, 420 Ditto St. 4:10 pm: Five juveniles harassing one, 400 block Walnut St., talked to parents and juveniles. 7:35 pm: Loud music, 400 block S. Defiance St., advised to keep bass down. Aug. 1 1:33 am: Juveniles out, 400 block S. Defiance St., youth out with parents. 1:49 am: Juveniles in area, 500 block West St., unable to locate. 6:05 am: Stolen vehicle, unfounded. 8:25 am: Injured cat, East Gardens. 12:04 pm: Damage to vehicle, 300 S. Defiance St. 8:22 pm: Loose dog, 500 block South St, advised owner to keep dog on leash. 8:30 pm: Traffic stop, subject riding motorized kids scooter in street, advised subject not to ride in street. Aug. 2 10:14 am: Possible counterfeit bill, Friendship Food Mart. 1:20 pm: Advised subject that dog must be on leash, 1900 block S. Defiance St., advised if dog defecates, to clean it up. Aug. 3 3:17 pm: A semi-tractor trailer rig, destroyed lighted bollard, N. Defiance St. at Stryker St. 3:20 pm: A car, driven by Leanna Shemegda, 22, Hicksville, with infant passenger, Hailee N. Shemegda, same address, was traveling north on S. Defiance St., and stopped in traffic at the West Barre Rd.- Lafayette Street intersection. A second car, driven by Jessica N. Warncke, rural Wet Unity, was stopped behind the Shemegda auto. The vehicles collided. Warncke was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. 4:17 pm: Hit-skip accident, Dairy Queen. 7:12 pm: Two small children climbing on vehicles, East Gardens, children taken to parents. Aug. 4 9:27 pm: Traffic stop, 400 block E. Lutz Rd., reckless operation, subject said he was having problems with vehicle. Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers gave verbal warnings for stop sign, dimming headlights, speeding, no taillights, left of center, no turn signal. |
