      This semi-tractor trailer truck got stuck on the bell-shaped bollard at the northwest corner of the North Defiance Street-Stryker Street intersection about 3:15 pm, Saturday, Sept. 1. The truck driver, Scott V. Oakley, of Oakland, Md.

Motorcycle Collides With SUV
      A motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle collided at the intersection of Co. Rds. D and 21 Sunday morning, Sept. 2. Archbold Rescue was called about 10:44 am. The Ohio State Highway Patrol report on the accident was not available at press time.

Man Spots Possible Burglar At Residence
      Chad Everly, 1304 S. Buehrer St., told Archbold Police he might have startled a burglar at his residence. Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said officers are investigating the incident. In his report to police, Everly said he left his home about 10:30 am, Sunday, Sept. 2.

The radios were purchased through a federally-funded State Homeland Security Program grant.

Vehicle Rollover
      The Ohio State Highway Patrol report on a one-car rollover accident, Monday evening, Sept. 3, was not available at press time. Rescue squads were called to the crash site, St. Rt. 66 just south of the Zone school, but were cancelled before arrival.

Complaint Filed After Alleged Harassment
      Archbold Police officers are investigating the alleged harassment of a 13-year-old Archbold girl at the Archbold Football Field. Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said the parents of the 13-year-old filed the complaint. They allege their daughter was harassed at the field by a 16- year-old girl, also from Archbold.

Bacons Named King/Queen Of Golden Wedding Party
      John and Wanda Bacon, Fayette, were named the king and queen of the Fulton County Fair Golden Wedding Party, Sunday afternoon. They married Nov. 10, 1939, at the Methodist parsonage in Wauseon. John worked at Fayette Manufacturing, while Wanda worked for 23 years in the Fayette school system. They met while roller-skating down Main St. in Fayette.

Irene Hahn Named Fairlawn Resident Of The Month
      Irene M. Hahn is the Fairlawn Haven September resident of the month. Hahn was born to Guy and Grace Fidler on Dec. 10, 1920, in Holgate. She had three sisters and one brother. Hahn attended eight grades at St. Augustine School, Napoleon. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1938.

More Junior Fair Results
      Mackenzie Fruchey, daughter of Chad and Kristi Coopshaw, Fayette, showed the grand champion beef feeder calf at the 2007 Fulton County Junior Fair. She also won the beef breeding showmanship title for ages 11 through 14, and the beef feeder calf showmanship competition for 13 year olds.

Pettisville School Board Corrects Ballot Wording
      The Pettisville School Board held an emergency board meeting on Aug. 22 to pass a new resolution to put the school district income tax on the November ballot. The meeting was necessary because state officials notified the local board of elections that the measure previously passed by the board was missing the words "for current expenses".
