Lincoln Street Project Passes Completion Date
      The North Lincoln Street construction project is past its Saturday, Sept. 1, completion date, and the company, Brooks Contracting, Inc., Perrysburg, will probably have to pay a penalty for missing the deadline. Exactly how much of a penalty hasn't been determined, Bob Seaman, Archbold village engineer, said Tuesday.

Co. Rd. C Opens Oct. 1
      Fulton Co. Rd. C, which has been closed to through traffic since May 14, re-opens Monday, Oct. 1, said Jason Baden, civil engineer with the Fulton County Engineer Office Friday, Aug. 31. Baden said Co. Rd. C has been closed from Co. Rd. 21 to Co. Rd. 19, while crews from Diversified Road & Pipe, Whitehouse, widened and repaved the roadway.

1,700 Unemployed In County
      There were 1,700 Fulton County residents out of work in July, pushing estimated unemployment to 7.2%, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. It is the highest in the four counties of Fulton, Defiance, Henry, and Williams, and represents an eight-tenths (.8) percentage-point jump in unemployment from June, which then was 6.4%.
