Archbold defeated Ottawa Hills 57-41 in a Div. III boys basketball district semifinal, Thursday night, Feb. 28 at Napoleon. The Streaks led 14-4 after one and 25-19 at the half. Archbold outscored the Green Bears 19-7 in the third period for a 44-26 lead going into the final eight minutes. Gene Goering led AHS with 20 points. Trey Smith scored 17 and Justin Rupp, 10. Archbold (18-4) plays Genoa (18-4) in the district final, Saturday, March 1, 7 p.m. Genoa beat Fairview 63-58 in Thursday's nightcap at Napoleon. The district champion plays in a regional semifinal at Bowling Green State University, Wednesday, March 5, 8:15 p.m.–Updated 2.28, 9:06 p.m.
