Attempted Scams Reported To APD
      Two cases of attempted scams were reported to Archbold police last week. Barry L. Miller, rural Archbold, told officers on Wednesday, Aug. 25, he had been offered an item for sale on the Internet. However, after speaking with his son, Miller said he learned the offer was a scam.

Reports Menacing
      Deb Volkman, 1105 Lindau St., told police her son was threatened over a business transaction. The Archbold police report states Volkman told police on Wednesday, Aug. 25, that she had sold a trailer to an individual, who allegedly has not been paying as required. Volkman said her son spoke to the purchaser by telephone, and the person made threats against him.

Six Sentenced
      James Barber, Fulton County Common Pleas Court judge, recently handed down sentences against six persons: •Luis Garza, 32, Wauseon; pled guilt to possession of cocaine; was in possession of cocaine during a May 27 traffic stop; sentenced to 10 months in prison; to report to Fulton County Sheriff Department Aug. 30 to begin sentence.
